Embarking on the next steps

At best, the last year has been a leveller for most people, and devastation for others. The lockdowns and restrictions have blown a hole in our routines, especially for musicians and support services, both professional and amateur. As with others, my family and friends have all coped in their own way, drawing on our love for one another, and, especially with friends and acquaintances, have drawn on the wonderful times past we have had at work and play.

I am sure we are all pondering deeply on what to do next, and on trying our best to predict what might be possible, on when, and on how we might do it. I am feeling that there are increasing signs of light at the end of this tunnel …. I hope you will feel the same. Let’s all keep talking!

After retiring from a career in education in April 2017, I thought it was about time to take the plunge myself and embark on the next steps along the way. After such a solid, and extensive start with a focus on music, transitioning into commerce, and then education, I always intended to end up back in music. So here I am …… working on new music, a new, website, continuing to keep my trumpet playing going, and on trying to keep fit.

The first new steps have been made ….……. let me know what you think, and let’s stay connected.
